Our Story
SmartRent Nigeria is a vision born since 2022, and finally founded in 2024 with a simple mission: to eliminate the fraud, delays, and stress from the rental process in Nigeria.
After recounting so many narrated painful house renting experiences and also experienced the challenges of finding reliable housing firsthand, our founder Amb. James Chibuikem assembled a team of technology and real estate experts to create a solution that would transform the rental market.
Today, SmartRent Nigeria is the country's first fully digital house renting and shared housing platform, connecting verified landlords, agents, and tenants in a secure and efficient marketplace.
Our platform allows Nigerians to find and rent houses entirely online, search and book properties, pay rent via a secured payment system, sign digital lease agreements, and even find verified roommates to share housing costs.
